For many traditional churches, adding technological elements into their sanctuary presents a major challenge when it comes to aesthetics. Older established churches have an architectural beauty that congregations want to preserve when it comes to integrating high-tech equipment and the associated wiring and infrastructure.
So when Allen Chapel AME of Daytona Beach, FL decided to introduce video production into their beautiful facility, the visual impact was a strong concern for the church leadership and the design team at SpaceCoast AV.
To meet the needs of the church, SpaceCoast AV Communications, an audio visual systems integrator based in Melbourne, FL, installed Vaddio’s ClearVIEW HD-19 high definition robotic PTZ camera and a Vaddio ProductionView Precision Camera Controller which boasts a broadcast-quality joystick designed for smooth and accurate pan, tilt and zoom control, as well as CCU image control functionality for controlling up to seven PTZ cameras. Remotely controlled and discretely placed, enable control of the HD-19 in locations impossible to be serviced by your standard tripod-mounted camera system.
SpaceCoast AV designed a turn-key display solution utilizing two wall mounted projection screens, by Da-Lite, yielding a 164″ and a 130” diagonal viewing area. Video Projectors by Optoma feature the TW762 and TW675UST-3D coupled with a short throw mounting system for a clean and efficient installation. In addition, a 42″ digital signage display was placed in the church vestibule. The video system features a Kramer Electronics Video Matrix enabling the church AV engineers the ability to select a specific AV source send it to one or more of the new video displays. To wrap up, we provided complete individual hands-on user training for all system operators.
